Background

This is a step-by-step guide on how to load data into Canopy using Canopy UL 1.0 files.

Steps to follows

Step 1: Create a new child account

Step 2: Choose any custodian (e.g. IBKR for Interactive Brokers)

Step 3: Create Currency Accounts

You need at least these 3 currencies

Create Ccy Accounts in EUR, JPY and USD (because the sample data has all 3 currencies). You can create more currency accounts in other currencies if you want

Step 4: Create Canopy UL 1.0 file for upload

Download the pre-filled Canopy UL 1.0 Create Transaction file from here
Enter the name of the child account in the spreadsheet and save it
Remember to close the Excel file after saving it

Step 5: Upload Spreadsheet into Engine

Upload spreadsheet into Engine under menu Data Upload -> Canopy UL File Upload
